The release date of actor Mahesh Babu's latest film, Maharshi, has been postponed from April 5 to April 25 due to box office rush. According to a source, the team has decided to push the release by three weeks owing to several other films like Majili, Chitralahari, NGK, Kanchana 3, and Jersey, hitting the screens around the same time.

In a statement, the news has been confirmed by the film's co-producer, Dil Raju. "We are happy to register a super hit with F2 for Sankranthi, and with the same enthusiasm, we are planning to release Maharshi on April 25," he said.

Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film's shooting is currently underway in Pollachi. "The Pollachi schedule will be wrapped up by this weekend and will be followed by the film's last schedule in Abu Dhabi from February first week," informs a source.

Also starring Pooja Hegde, Allari Naresh, Prakash Raj and Jayasudha in pivotal roles, Maharshi is being produced jointly by Ashwini Dutt, Prasad V Potluri and Dil Raju.
