Veteran actor Delhi Ganesh has joined the cast of Shankar's Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan. A frequent collaborator of the actor-politician, Delhi Ganesh will be sharing screen space with Kamal for the first time since Papanasam(2015). 

He took to social media to announce his addition to the cast of Shankar's 14th directorial and said it was a good opportunity to work with the wonderful combination of Kamal Haasan and Shankar. This will be his first appearance in a Shankar film. 

The first schedule of Indian 2, which went on floors on January 18, is currently ongoing in Chennai and the team will later shift base to a number of foreign countries for extensive shooting. While Kajal Aggarwal is already onboard, it is speculated that Siddharth and Abhishek Bachchan will be part of the cast too. Anirudh Ravichander has been signed on as the composer, marking his first collaboration with both Kamal and Shankar.  

Carrying the tagline, 'Older, Wiser, Deadlier', the film, bankrolled by Lyca Productions is expected to begin right where the first part ended.
