Agni Dev rechristened Agni vs Devi

The makers of the film have announced that the film will be henceforth called Agni vs Devi.

Bobby Simha’s Agni Dev now has a new name. The makers of the film have announced that the film will be henceforth called Agni vs Devi. The film has Bobby playing the role of Agni while Madhoo essays the character, Devi. Apart from Bobby and Madhoo, the film also features Ramya Nambeesan.

Directed by JPR and Sham Surya, Agni vs Devi made news after its trailer was released. Madhoo’s look (she plays the antagonist) was compared with that of the late CM, Jayalalithaa. The director later clarified that Madhoo’s look was not based on Jayalalithaa. The film has been adapted from a Rajesh Kumar novel, and the director has previously helmed Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2

Agni vs Devi is funded by Seantoa Studio in association with Jai Film Productions and has music by Jakes Bejoy.
