John Abraham's Romeo Akbar Walter to hit the screens in April

The spy thriller film is set in the 1970s and inspired by real events

John Abraham's long-awaited spy thriller, Romeo Akbar Walter (RAW), will be released on April 12. Directed by Robbie Grewal, the film also stars Mouni Roy, Jackie Shroff, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi and Sikandhar Kher.

The film went on floors in June last year and was wrapped up in September. Shot across several locations including Gujarat, Kashmir and Nepal, the espionage drama is set in the 1970s and features John in 18 different looks. The lead role was earlier offered Sushant Singh Rajput, who had turned down the project due to date issues. 

Romeo Akbar Walter is co-produced by Dheeraj Wadhawan, Ajay Kapoor, Vanessa Walia, and Gary Grewal.
