GV Prakash to play the lead in Mani Ratnam's next production?

It was confirmed earlier that Mani Ratnam's next production venture, under his Madras Talkies banner, will be directed by his associate, Dhana Sekhar, and have music by 96-fame Govind Vasantha. Recently, reports have begun to surface that composer-turned-actor GV Prakash will be playing the lead role in the yet-to-be-titled film. 

When asked about this, a source close to the makers says, "We are yet to finalise the lead of the film. We are in talks with multiple actors and GV Prakash is one of them. You can expect an official announcement from us soon." The makers are also keeping details about the rest of the cast and crew under wraps for now.

Meanwhile, GV Prakash, who is awaiting the release of Sarvam Thaala Mayam, also has films like Jail, 100% Kadhal, Watchman, Kaadhalai Thedi Nithya Nandha, and 4G in various stages of production.
