Mammootty’s third collaboration with Haneef Adeni, Ameer, will reportedly go on floors in June. Haneef, who made his directorial debut with the Mammootty-starrer The Great Father, has penned the script of this upcoming big-budget film, which will be directed by debutant Vinod Vijayan. Said to be a Dubai-based story of a don, Mammootty will reportedly appear in different looks in Ameer.

After The Great Father, Haneef collaborated with Mammootty for the second time when he wrote the script for Abrahaminte Santhathikal, which was helmed by Shaji Padoor.

Meanwhile, the shoots of two other Mammootty projects, Unda and Maamankam, are progressing smoothly. The actor’s next theatrical release, following Peranbu, will be MadhuraRaja directed by Pulimurugan-fame Vysakh. The film, scheduled for release in April, sees Vysakh reuniting with the actor once again after Pokkiri Raja

Aside from these, there are also reports that Sathyan Anthikkad will collaborate with Mammootty after 22 years for his next directorial. The actor is also slated to appear in Ramesh Pisharody’s second film, Ganagandharvan.
