 Raj Kumar Barjatya, father of Sooraj Barjatya, passes away 

His credits as producer include Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Vivaah and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo

Veteran producer Raj Kumar Barjatya passed away at Sir H N Reliance Hospital in Mumbai this morning. He was the son of Rajshri Productions founder Tarachand Barjatya, and the father of film director Sooraj Barjatya.

Raj Kumar Barjatya's credits as producer include Hum Aapke Hain Koun...!, Hum Saath-Saath Hain, Vivaah and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, all directed by Sooraj.

Rajshri Productions recently made a comeback to the theatrical space with their college drama film, Hum Chaar, which was released on February 15. Raj Kumar Barjatya’ younger grandson, Avnish, is preparing to make his directorial debut this year. In an earlier interview with us, Sooraj Barjatya had revealed that he is in process of developing his next film starring Salman Khan. 

The funeral is scheduled to take place at Worli Sea Face at 3.30 pm today, a source shared.
