New version of Arjun Reddy Tamil remake titled Adithya Varma

CE Features

Earlier this month, E4 Entertainment, which holds the Tamil remake rights of the superhit Vijay Deverakonda-starrer Arjun Reddy, shocked everyone by announcing that they are not happy with the Bala-directed Varmaa, and will therefore not be releasing it. They went on to reveal that Dhruv Vikram, who was set to make his debut as the lead, would be retained in the new version of the remake, which they would shoot from the scratch. It has now been revealed that this new version will be titled Adithya Varma.

A couple of days back, October-fame Banita Sandhu and Ravi K Chandran were confirmed to have been signed as the female lead and the cinematographer, respectively. Now, the latest update is that Gireesaaya, a former associate of Arjun Reddy-director Sandeep Vanga, will be directing the new version. Also, Radhan, who was signed to compose the music for Varmaa, has been retained for Adithya Varma. It is being speculated that Priya Anand is in talks to play the female film star character in the new version, which was portrayed by Raiza in Varmaa.
