Ajay Gnanamuthu, who last directed the Nayanthara-starrer Imaikka Nodigal, will team up with Vikram for his next project. While the collaboration has been confirmed, sources tell us that the script for the film is yet to be locked. An official announcement can be expected in April. The rest of the cast and crew is expected to be unveiled soon.

Ajay, who made his directorial debut with the sleeper hit Demonte Colony in 2015, gave one of the biggest hits last year with Imaikka Nodigal. Vikram, on the other hand, was last seen in Saamy Square. The actor, who also has Kadaram Kondan and Dhruva Natchathiram in the pipeline, will be making a comeback in Malayalam with the mythical biggie Mahavir Karna, for which he began shooting recently.
