Jayasurya is all set to team up once again with Captain-director Prajesh Sen for a new film titled Vellam. The announcement was made on the day their first film turned a year old. Captain, a biopic of national football captain VP Sathyan, showcased one of the actor's strongest performances.

Sharing the news on social media, Jayasurya wrote, "Captain had one of my most favorite characters. Here I am sharing with all of you another little bit of happiness: Prajesh and I will be joining hands again for our new movie."

Vellam is expected to be another character-driven film. It is being backed by Friendly Productions. The details of the remaining cast and crew are yet to be revealed.

In addition to Vellam, Jayasurya has signed up for Aadu-3 and Turbo Peter, both to be helmed by Midhun Manuel Thomas.
