It seems like director V Priya's much-loved 2005 romcom, Kanda Naal Mudhal, which starred Prasanna, Laila and Karthik Kumar, might get a sequel. 

Prior to Valentine's day, the director and the cast of the film had a reunion. Prasanna, Laila and Karthik all shared pictures from the meet on their respective social media pages, and dropped hints that a follow-up might be on the cards. 

When asked about this, Priya, who is awaiting the release of her Kannada debut, Aadi Lakshmi Purana, says, "I  would definitely love to do a sequel with the same actors. We discussed the possibility when we met, but I don't have a script in hand yet."

If the sequel indeed becomes a reality, it would mark Laila's comeback to the film industry after 12 years. Her last lead appearance was in the Ajith-starrer Paramasivan (2006). Prasanna, who was seen in last year's Kaalakkoothu, recently hosted the reality game show, Soppana Sundari on TV. Karthik Kumar, meanwhile, is set to tour the US with his stand-up comedy show later this month.
