Udhayanidhi Stalin's Kannai Nambathey goes on floors

Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is awaiting the release of the Seenu Ramasamy-directorial Kanne Kalaimaane, has started shooting for his next film that's titled Kannai Nambathey. Directed by Mu Maran of Iravukku Aayiram Kangal fame, the project went on floors on Monday with a formal launch ceremony. 

The film, which is said to be a suspenseful crime-thriller with a very strong emotional connect, stars Meesaya Murukku-fame Aathmika as the female lead, while Sathish has been roped in to provide comic relief. Produced by VN Ranjith Kumar under his Lipi Cine Krafts, Kannai Nambathey will have music by Sam CS and cinematography by Sridhar of Pariyerum Perumal fame.

Meanwhile, Udhay has one more schedule left for Mysskin's Psycho, following which he will concentrate on KS Adhiyaman's untitled romantic horror film.
