Yet another new director, Ram Prasad steps into the Kannada film industry with Lanke. As the title suggests, the film will be based on the Ramayana, and it will star Yogesh aka Yogi, Sanchari Vijay, Kavya Shetty and Krishi Thapanda.

The film will go on floors from Monday, and the makers are tight-lipped about the actors’ characterisation. However, Cinema Express has learned that Kavya's character is based on Ravana’s traits.

Lanke has music by Karthik Sharma, and cinematography by Ramesh Babu. Ram Prasad is also co-producing the film along with Patel Srinivas.
