Kalidas Jayaram will be seen in the role of a Punjabi person in an upcoming romantic comedy titled Happy Sardar. The film, directed by Sudeep and Geethika and produced by Haseeb Haneef, is about the love story of a Sikh youth and a Knanaya Christian girl.

Bollywood actor Javed Jaffrey will also have a part in the film alongside actors Siddique, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Hareesh Kanaran, Sreenath Bhasi, Dharmajan, and Balu Varghese. Abhinandan Ramanujam has been roped in as the cinematographer, while Gopi Sundar is in charge of the music. The film is being planned as an Onam release.

Aside from Happy Sardar, Kalidas’ other upcoming releases are Jeethu Joseph’s Mr and Mrs Rowdy, Midhun Manuel Thomas’ Argentina Fans Kaattoorkadavu, and Santosh Sivan’s Jack n Jill.
