The title and first look of Sivakarthikeyan's Mr Local were revealed last Saturday. It has come to light now that the film is in the last stage of shooting and the team is working on the post-production in parallel.

With Nayanthara playing the female lead, the film also features Radikaa, Sathish and Yogi Babu. It is also reported that YouTube-fame Harija stars as Sivakarthikeyan's sister in the film. 

The comedy entertainer, helmed by director Rajesh, has music by Hip-hop Tamizha and cinematography by Thaana Serndha Kootam-fame Dinesh Krishnan.

Though there have been many rumours that Mr Local is a remake of the Telugu film Nenu Local, a source close to the team has denied the news stating that the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer is a fresh script. 

Produced by Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green Productions, the film is expected to hit the screens this summer.
