Dhanush's next directed by Karthik Subbaraj was wrapped on Sunday. The actor took to Twitter to announce the news. He wrote, "That’s a wrap for D40. One of the quickest films I have done. It was a pleasure to work with such a quirky, sensible and visionary filmmaker like Karthik Subbaraj. This one is going to be special."

The film, starring Aishwarya Lekshmi and Sanchana Natarajan as the female leads, is bankrolled by Y Not Studios. Speculated to be a gangster thriller, the yet-to-be-titled film, which also stars Kalaiyarasan, Deepak Paramesh, and Joju George, has music by Santhosh Narayanan and cinematography by Shreyas Krishna. 

Dhanush, who is currently awaiting the release of Pattas, directed RS Durai Senthilkumar, also has films with Mari Selvaraj and Ramkumar in his kittty.
