Director Ashwin Saravanan, who received much praise for his last film, Game Over, might collaborate with Samantha for his next. According to a source in the know, they are in talks but the dotted line has not been signed yet.

If the project comes through, this will be Ashwin’s third straight women-centric film after Nayanthara’s Maya and Taapsee’s Game Over. 

Meanwhile, Samantha is currently part of the Telugu remake of 96, which is being helmed by Premkumar, who also directed the original. The Oh Baby! actor will soon be making her digital debut with the second season of Amazon Prime’s The Family Man.

Samantha was last seen in Tamil in Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Super Deluxe, where she shared screen space with Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Ramya Krishnan, Mysskin, and others.
