Vaibhav’s Aalambana goes on floors

The fantasy film features Munishkanth as a genie

We had earlier reported that Vaibhav will be teaming up with Parvati Nair for an upcoming fantasy film, titled Aalambana. Now, we hear, that the shooting for the film has begun.

Directed by Pari K Vijay, who has earlier assisted on films such as Mundasupatti and Indru Netru Naalai, Aalambana features Munishkanth as a genie. The film also stars Dindugal I Leoni, Kaali Venkat, Murali Sharma, and Anandraj, with Vedalam-fame Kabir Duhan Singh playing the antagonist.

Aalambana will have music by Hip Hop Adhi, cinematography by Nedunalvaadai-fame Vinoth Ramaswamy, and Ratsasan editor San Lokesh in charge of the cuts. Produced by KJR Studios, in association with Chandru, the film is expected to hit the screens next summer.

Meanwhile, Vaibhav, who was last seen in Chachi’s Sixer, has Taana, Lock Up, Katteri, and the much-delayed RK Nagar in the pipeline.
