Madhuri Dixit is set to make her Netflix debut with an untitled family drama, which will be produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the digital arm of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Karan will serve as the creative producer on the show, which is helmed by New York-based writer-director Sri Rao. According to the makers, the story reflects the lives of people in the entertainment industry.

“I've always been a fan of Netflix, which is why I decided to make my debut as a producer with 15th August. The reach and diversity in the audience that the global service provides are unparallelled,” Madhuri said. “And of course, Karan and his team have been like family for me, so when I got this opportunity to play the protagonist in this series that's produced by both Netflix and Dramatic, I was beyond excited. This series is entertaining, riveting, and yet heartwarming.”

Madhuri was last seen in Abhishek Verma’s Kalank. She was also a part of Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal.
