Hansal Mehta’s Turram Khan retitled Chaalaang

A social comedy set in Uttar Pradesh, the film also stars Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, Saurabh Shukla and Satish Shah

Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha’s Turram Khan has been retitled Chhalaang. The film, directed by Hansal Mehta, is set to release on January 31, 2020. 

A social comedy set in Uttar Pradesh, Chhalaang also stars Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, Saurabh Shukla and Satish Shah. The film is co-produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. 

Rajkummar Rao’s last release was Made in China. The actor has worked with Hansal Mehta in Shahid, City Lights, Aligarh and Omerta. He also starred in the web-show Bose: Dead/Alive, produced by Hansal. 

“Turram Khan is a comedy that the audience will take back home. Hansal sir plays a very instrumental role in my acting career. He has created some interesting and memorable characters for me. I trust him blindly. I have known Nushrat since our days of auditioning and screen tests. I am sure this is going to be a fun collaboration,” Rajkummar had earlier stated. 

Nushrat Bharucha was recently seen in Dream Girl and Marjaavaan. Her upcoming film is Hurdang, co-starring Sunny Kaushal.
