Madhumitha asks Kamal Haasan to intervene and help in Vijay TV-Bigg Boss issue

One of the biggest controversies in this season of Bigg Boss Tamil has been the forced eviction of Madhumitha, who was sent out as she had inflicted self-harm by slashing her wrist. She had reportedly taken a controversial stance on the Cauvery water issue, which lead to the other housemates ganging up against her.

There were reports that Vijay TV had filed a case against her for intimidation over financial issues. In a specially arranged press meet, Madhumitha addressed the issues surrounding her ouster.

"When I first heard about this case being filed against me by Vijay TV, I believed it to be false. But since today morning, a lot of people reached out to me saying a case has indeed been initiated. When my advocate reached out to the police station, they confirmed that it was true.

This is a completely fabricated case. The reason behind me feeling so is that even before talks of this case began, Bigg Boss team had reached out asking me to submit all the invoices so that I can be compensated as soon as possible. Through my husband, I submitted all the invoices, and was told the payments would be coming in for sure. So, I am still not sure why Vijay TV had to go and file a complaint (about me intimidating them for unfinished payment).

I've been in cinema over the past ten years, I am a member of both TV artistes and Cinema artistes unions. Till date, I haven't received any complaint, nor have I submitted one. This is common knowledge.

After hearing the news about Vijay TV's complaint, when I reached out to them, I received no response from their end. That's why I've arranged this press meet. I didn't want this false complaint to tarnish my image in public.

I urge Bigg Boss host Kamal Haasan to smoothen out these issues between me and Vijay TV.

After coming out of the house, we were under a lot of emotional duress. I thank the press, media, and social media for helping me out of this emotional trauma."

While reporters asked her about what exactly transpired inside the house that prompted her forced eviction, Madhumitha said, "Vijay TV has promised to arrange a press meet to clear out issues behind the incident."
