Simbu announces Maghaa Maanadu after he is dropped from Venkat Prabhu's Maanadu

After being dropped by producer Suresh Kamatchi from the Venkat Prabhu-directorial Maanadu, Simbu actor has announced that his next film will be titled Maghaa Maanadu

While Suresh Kamatchi promised that a new actor will be cast in his film, Simbu has now confirmed that he will be directing Maghaa Maanadu, which will be produced by his own production banner, Chimbu Cine Arts. 

A source close to the actor says, "It's too early to say anything about the project but fans can expect a huge announcement soon. Simbu is currently in Bangkok with his family and once he's back in town, we will get to know more, including details about the cast and crew." Another unconfirmed report says that the film will be made on a huge budget in five languages. 

Simbu's next release will be the Tamil remake of Mufti, in which he will be seen alongside Gautham Karthik. This film is nearing completion with a final schedule set to be finished by next month. Apart from this, the actor will also be seen in an extended cameo in Hansika's 50th film, Maha. Simbu is also expected to do a film with Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru-director Karthick Naren and reunite with director VZ Durai's for the sequel of Thotti Jaya.
