We had earlier reported that Suriya is set to collaborate with director Siva for the first time in a project bankrolled by KE Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green. 

On the occasion of Siva's birthday, the makers have decided to make an all-important team announcement this evening. 

While this film, referred to as Suriya 39 so far, was set to mark the sixth film of the production house with Suriya, it also marked Siva's second film with the banner, which produced his debut film, Siruthai. 

Apart from this film, Suriya currently awaits the release of KV Anand's Kaappaan, which is slated for a September 20 release. He is also working on Soorarai Pottru, directed by Sudha Kongara, and will feature as a guest star in Madhavan's upcoming directorial, Rocketry - The Nambi Effect.
