Balaji Sakthivel joins the cast of Vaanam Kottattum

Said to be set in the foothills of Kodaikanal, the film features Vikram Prabhu and Madonna Sebastian in the lead

We had previously reported that director Balaji Sakthivel, known for films such as Samurai, Kadhal and Kalloori, has turned actor for Dhanush's Asuran, in which he is supposedly playing a police officer. It's now known that the director will also be acting in Mani Ratnam's next production, Vaanam Kottattum. The film's director Dhana confirmed this in a recent interview with a regional daily.

Said to be set in the foothills of Kodaikanal, the film features Vikram Prabhu and Madonna Sebastian in the lead roles. Aishwarya Rajesh will play Vikram's younger sister, while Sarathkumar and Radhika Sarathkumar play their parents.

Vaanam Kottattum also stars Shanthnu Bhagyaraj and Amitash Pradhan.

Meanwhile, Balaji's directorial ventures Yaar Ivargal and Ra Ra Rajasekhar are awaiting release.
