Vimal, who was last seen in the rural comedy Kalavani 2, has reportedly signed a project with director Senthil Kumar, who made the 2005 murder mystery 6.2, starring Sathyaraj, Vadivelu and Sunitha Varma. 
 
The yet-to-be-titled film, produced by V Palanivel under his Vaidhyanathan films banner, will reportedly have an equal blend of romance and humour. The makers are yet to decide the female lead and rest of the cast.

Vimal, who recently announced his first action thriller, Chozha Nattan, directed by debutant Ranjith Kanna, is currently shooting for Sandakkari My Boss with Shriya Saran. He is also awaiting the release of Kanni Raasi, in which he shares screen space with Varlaxmi.
