Guinness Pakru sets yet another record

CE Features

Actor-director Guinness Pakru has set yet another record as the shortest film producer. The record was handed over to Pakru by Best of India Records Executive (Kochi) Tony Chittettukalam at Ernakulam Press Club today. The actor is making his debut as a producer through the film, Fancy Dress.

Pakru, who is also acting in the film, says such recognitions boost him to strive for more in the film industry. “I went through several hardships in life to gain the recognition that I have now. I started as an actor, became a director, and now being a producer encourages me to make new attempts in my professional and personal life.”

Pakru made his acting debut with the Malayalam film Ambili Ammavan in 1985. In 2013, he turned director with Kuttiyum Kolum. Pakru has two Guinness records to his credit — Guinness World Records (2008 edition) for being the shortest actor to play a lead character in a full-length film and the Guinness World Records (2013 edition) for being the shortest film director in the world to direct a full-length film.

During the conference, artist-cum-sculptor Davinci Suresh had gifted a replica of Pakru mounting an electrically-powered bicycle, which resembles the character he plays in Fancy Dress.
