Karthik Raju, who made his debut with Padesave (2016), has signed on a new film, with Tamil actor Varsha Bollamma playing the female lead. Swaraj Nune, a former associate of Boyapati Sreenu is turning director with this action thriller, which also features Sampath Raj in a pivotal role. 

The untitled film was launched today with veteran director Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao giving the first clap and Boyapati directing the first shot. "It's an edge-of-the-seat thriller with a blend of action and romance. The shooting will begin on May 2," says Swaraj. 

Produced by Gurviah Yadav, the film has dialogues by Sudheer Varma Pericharla and music by Sricharan Pakala. Meanwhile, Karthik's upcoming socio-fantasy, Deerga Ayushman Bhava was wrapped up a while back, but the makers are yet to finalise the release date.
