It was widely speculated that Vijay Sethupathi will be joining hands with NOTA filmmaker, Anand Shankar, for a mega-budget project. Anand, who made his debut with the 2014 Vikram Prabhu-starrer Arima Nambi, took to social media to put to rest these rumours about his upcoming film.

In his tweet, he revealed that, although he would love to work with Vijay, the news about his next was false. He also remarked that, like everyone else, he too was watching the latest season of Game of Thrones.

Vijay Sethupathi, meanwhile, has started work on the SP Jananathan film, Laabam, co-starring Shruti Haasan. He also has a number of Tamil films like Maamanidhan, Sindhubaadh, and a yet-to-be-titled project with Vijay Chander in the pipeline.
