Diganth to race with Vijay Deverakonda in Hero

A Sharadhaa

Diganth played a supporting role in the Telugu film Vaana (2008), a remake of the blockbuster film, Mungaru Male. After almost a decade, the actor is set to make a comeback to Tollywood. In his second Telugu film, Diganth will be sharing screen space with Vijay Deverakonda in his upcoming film, Hero, which will be helmed by Anand Annamalai (the dialogue writer of Kaaka Muttai).

Diganth, who is passionate about bike riding, is expected to play a prominent role in the film, which is set against a bike racing backdrop. Hero will roll in May, and he, along with Vijay, will start the race track shoot in Delhi sometime in the middle of the month.

The film, bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, has Shalini Pandey and Malavika Mohanan as female leads and is expected to release in multiple languages.

Meanwhile, Diganth has signed a Kannada film, Huttu Huttu Subhashagalu, which will be produced by TR Chandrashekar of Crystal Park films, and mark the directorial debut of Nagaraj Betlur. The shooting of this film, touted to be a comedy thriller, is set to start from the first week of May and Diganth will be juggling the schedules of this and his Telugu film.

The actor also awaits the release of the Kunal Kohli-directed Hindi film, RamYug, which is based on Ramayana, and features the actor in the role of Ram. Currently, in the post-production stage, it is expected to release this August.

With such interesting projects on the cards, this year surely looks promising for Diganth.
