Suriya’s much-anticipated film with Irudhi Suttru filmmaker, Sudha Kongara, has been officially titled, Soorarai Pottru. Releasing the first look of the film on Twitter, the actor wrote, "In love with what’s happening here on the sets."

The poster features Suriya, clad in a black shirt and rolled up dhoti, standing beneath a domestic flight.

It's speculated that the film will be based on the life of famous entrepreneur, GR Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan, which is said to be India's first budget airline. Also starring Sarvam Thaala Mayam actor, Aparna Balamurali, the film went on floors on April 7th.

Soorarai Pottru is jointly produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment and Guneet Monga, who co-produced the Oscar-winning documentary short, Period. End of Sentence. The film, which has cinematography by Niketh Bommireddy of U-Turn fame and editing by Sathish Suriya, will incidentally mark the first collaboration between music director GV Prakash Kumar and Suriya.
