Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar will reportedly start shooting for their upcoming sports drama, Womaniya, in January next year. The film, which is based on the oldest woman sharpshooters of India — octogenarians Chandro and Prakashi Tomar — will be shot in Uttar Pradesh.

Womaniya is being produced by Anurag Kashyap, Shibasish Sarkar and Nidhi Parmar. The film marks the directorial debut of Tushar Hiranandani, who has written films like Dishoom, ABCD 2, Ek Villain and Grand Masti.

According to a report, the makers will begin prepping for the film in a few days and plan on wrapping up the project by March, 2019.

Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu recently collaborated on Manmarziyaan, which also starred Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan. Bhumi Pednekar was last seen in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Lust Stories
