Busy filming his Tamil remake of Attarintiki Daredi with Simbu, Sundar C will be returning to acting through VZ Durai's Iruttu. The actor-director will be playing a cop in the film. The last time he did so was in 2009's Thee.

Said to be a one-of-a-kind horror film which does not feature any ghost, Iruttu stars Dhanshika as the female lead. The first look posters of the film was launched today. Unlike Sundar C's directorial outings, the film is said to have zero comical elements.

Almost 85 per cent of the film has been shot already in a single schedule spanning 40 days in Ooty. The makers have planned to shoot the remaining portions of Iruttu in Hyderabad and Surat.

With Girishh and E Krishnasamy handling the music and cinematography, respectively, the film is bankrolled by Screen Scene Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
