We had earlier reported that Prabhudheva and director Vijay will be joining hands for the third time for Devi 2, and Tammannah will be reprising her role from the original. It has come to light now that the crew has begun shooting for the sequel in Mauritius.

Prabhudheva broke the news on Twitter by posting a picture with his co-star Kovai Sarala. Though it has been speculated that Sam CS, who earlier worked with Vijay and Prabhudheva in Lakshmi, has been roped in to score the music, the makers are yet to make an official announcement about the other crew members. 

Devi, the 2016 horror comedy, was shot as a trilingual and released in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. The film also starred Sonu Sood and RJ Balaji in important roles. 

Apart from the Devi sequel, Prabhudheva has Thael, Charlie Chaplin 2 and Pon Manickavel in his kitty.
