Director Chimbudevan had kickstarted Imsai Arasan 24am Pulikecei, the sequel to his debut film, Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikecei. Vadivelu was roped in to reprise his role from the original with Parvathy Omanakuttan set to play the female lead. However, the film got shelved due to creative differences between Vadivelu and the makers. 

It has come to light now that Chimbudevan might direct a new film under Venkat Prabhu's Black Ticket Company. Sources close to the directors have stated that talks for the film are going on and an official announcement can be expected in a few days. 

Meanwhile, Venkat Prabhu, who is busy with the post-production of his multi-starrer Party, also has Maanaadu with Simbu in the lead in his kitty.
