Dhanush’s Hollywood debut, The Extraordinary Journey of Fakir, has won an award at the Norwegian International Film Festival. The film's director, Ken Scott, took to Twitter to share this news: “The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir won the prize "Ray of Sunshine" at the Norwegian International Film Festival! The topic of human dignity is front and centre in every vibrant frame of this picture, the jury stated in their deliberation,” he wrote.

Apart from Dhanush, The Extraordinary Journey of Fakir features Berenice Bejo, Erin Moriarty, and Ben Miller in key characters. The film is based on the book, The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe. The film received a standing ovation when it premiered in France.
