I have read The Zoya Factor book several times: Sonam K Ahuja

The actor plays the female lead in the film adaptation of the Anuja Chauhan novel

Sonam K. Ahuja, who is playing the lead role in The Zoya Factor, says she has taken quite a bit of reference from Anuja Chauhan's original novel for her character in the film.

"I have read the book several times," says Sonam.

The actor, who is currently filming The Zoya Factor along with Sikandar Kher and Dulquer Salmaan, says, "Anuja is a part of the writing and screenplay. She is writing the dialogues and it's all her vision."

Sonam says that literature has always been a vital part of the Indian entertainment industry.

"I think it has been done for many years. In fact, Oscars has a category for adapted films. It should be a category in itself and it should be something that we should be recognising in India more. I think internationally, people buy books before they are published," says the actor, who wants the classic Rebecca to be made into a film in India.
