About Rs 3 lakh set property was burnt down when a fire broke out on the sets of actor Nikhil's upcoming action-thriller, Mudra. “The incident happened a few days ago when the team were filming the climax sequences at Hitex hall number 2 in the city. The set suddenly caught fire due to overheating of the firebox. Even though there were no casualties, the mishap resulted in the loss of property. The unit members had no choice but to call off the shoot abruptly,” informs a source.

Produced by Kaviya Venugopal and Rajukumar, the film directed by TN Santosh is a remake of Tamil hit, Kanithan. Also featuring Lavanya Tripathi as the female lead, Mudra, which has music by Sam CS, features Vennela Kishore, Nagineedu and Tarun Arora in pivotal roles. The makers are planning to release the film in December.
