Dev Patel to make directorial debut with Monkey Man

Slumdog Millionaire-fame actor Dev Patel is all set to make his directorial debut with a revenge thriller titled Monkey Man. The film, which he also stars in, is set in India and will go into production next year.

Dev Patel has also co-written the film with Paul Angunawala and John Collee. It has cinematography by It-fame Chung-hoon Chung, and action choreography by the 87Eleven Action Design studio, which has been associated with Hollywood thrillers like John Wick (2014) and Atomic Blonde (2017).

Dev Patel, who was nominated for an Oscar for his role in Lion, is awaiting the release of Hotel Mumbai and The Personal History of David Copperfield.
