Tanya Ravichandran, who was last seen in the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Karuppan, has now been roped in for Sibi Sathyaraj’s next, Maayon. Directed by Kishore N, the film is about an archaeology team’s quest to uncover the history of an ancient temple. Talking about the project, Tanya says that she instantly liked the script on hearing it. “It had something new. I play an urban role in this, unlike in Karuppan. I just wanted to try and see how it works.” She adds that she is quite excited about Ilaiyaraaja composing music for the film.

Tanya, who is paired with Sibi in the film, says she will begin shooting for the project by mid-November. The actor made her debut with Sasikumar’s Bale Vellaiyatheva and later appeared in Radha Mohan’s Brindavanam.
