We had earlier told you that Thirudan Police-director Caarthick Raju is working on his next with Sundeep Kishan. It has come to light now that the film, said to be a 'mystery film laced with family sentiments', has been titled Kannadi. It marks the Tamil debut of Arjun Reddy-fame Rahul Ramakrishna, and Bollywood actor, Anya Singh.

Touted to be an out-of-the-box thriller without any cliches like jump scares and haunted houses, Kannadi is said to have a social message that stresses on the grave impact of small mistakes. Co-starrring Anandraj, Karunakaran, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Murali Sharma, and Pragathi, the film has music by Thaman and cinematography by PK Varma.

Produced by V Studios and Sri Saravana Bhava Films, Kannadi has also been simultaneously shot in Telugu. Filming took place in Chennai and Hyderabad.
