Kannada actor Priyanka Thimmesh, whose debut film in Tamil is yet to be released, has already landed her second project in Kollywood. Her first Tamil film, Utharavu Maharaja, starring Udhaya and directed by Asif Kuraishi, is scheduled for release on November 16. The actor, who arrives in the city to promote that film today, will start shooting for her yet-to-be-titled second film from tomorrow.

Also starring Kishore, the film is directed by GNR Kumaravelan, who has previously helmed films such as Ninaithale Inikkum and Haridas. "He is an award-winning director, and the concept of this particular film is interesting. I look forward to starting the shoot," says Priyanka, adding, "There are no lead actors as such, and the film focuses more on the character."

An established face in Kannada, Priyanka recently made her debut in Malayalam with Kayamkulam Kochunni, starring Nivin Pauly. The actor, who also has a couple of films lined up in Kannada, says, "I need to do a film in Telugu now to complete a circle in the south. Talks are on with various directors in Tollywood and I am keeping my fingers crossed."
