The release of Ajith-starrer Viswasam has been confirmed for Pongal 2019, sparking off speculation of a potential clash between Rajinikanth and Ajith films at the box-office. Since the shooting for Rajinikanth’s Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, was wrapped up 15 days ahead of schedule, the grapevine has been abuzz that Petta will hit the screen for Pongal as well. 

The second look of Viswasam was unveiled yesterday by the makers. The poster features Ajith riding a bike against a festive background. This is director Siva’s fourth collaboration with the actor. It also stars Nayanthara, Yogi Babu, Thambi Ramaiah, Vivek and Robo Shankar. The team is currently in Mumbai shooting the final song of the film.
