Dubbing artist Raveena Ravi, known for being the voice of several heroines, turned actor with the much acclaimed 2017 film, Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu. Her next as an actor will be Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban, directed by RDM, also known as Ranjith Manikandan. Raveena will be paired with popular VJ Suresh in the film. “I loved the story when the director narrated it to me. He is very clear about what he wants. The twist in the film comes in the form of an incident that happens to my character,” she says.

Since she dubs for commercial films, Raveena says she wants to pick off-beat scripts when it comes to acting. “Juggling a thriving dubbing career and acting is a lot of of work, but gratifying. I am getting dark circles for the first time (laughs). I've had several sleepless nights, balancing both. But it is all good. I don’t want to give up one for the other,” she adds.

Raveena is currently dubbing for several projects including the Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0, Bala's Varma, the Jayam Ravi-starrer Adanga Maru, and the horror film Neeya 2 (for Catherine Tresa).
