Actor Jr NTR, who is perceived to be a strong man and in control of all situations, couldn’t hold back tears at the pre-release event of his upcoming film, Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava. He turned emotional and broke down while fondly recollecting the words of his father, Nandamuri Harikrishna, who was killed in a road accident on August 29.

“I have been keeping many things within myself for a month now. I don’t know what to say and how to say it. This is why we (Kalyan Ram and himself) didn’t speak in public. We don’t know the value of a person when alive, but after his death even if we try to understand, he won’t be there with us,” said the actor in an emotionally-charged speech.

NTR recalled his conversations with his father about the love and admiration of their fans. “My father used to say that we are not great people. He told me, 'Nanna, I was born to a legend and you are my sons, but it’s always the unconditional love of our fans that keep us going.' I wish he was present at this event and to see this film’s release,” he added.

The actor also revealed that he never expected his father’s picture would be kept alongside his grandfather’s portrait at such events. “Although he is not with us physically, I’m seeing him in all of you. I couldn’t say this to my father, but I promise today in front of you that, our lives are dedicated to you,” said NTR, in a rather choked voice.

Repeatedly talking about the time he spent after the demise of his father, NTR said, “Trivikram rallied around me and formed my support system. Whenever I go through such tough situations, I’m sure he will remain by my side. My 12-year dream to work with him got fulfilled today with this film.”

Produced by Radha Krishna under Haarika and Hassine Creations, Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava, also featuring Pooja Hegde, Eesha Rebba, Naga Babu, Sunil and Jagapathi Babu, is slated for release on October 11. Music of the film is by SS Thaman.
