Robert Downey Jr's The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle delayed

CE Features

The audience might have to wait longer to witness Robert Downey Jr play Doctor Dolittle. His upcoming fantasy comedy film, The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle, has been pushed to January 17, 2020.

Previously, it was reported that the film would hit the screens in April 2019, but now the release date has been postponed by eight months to give the film a better chance in countries like China and also to capitalise on the audience after the Christmas holidays.

The new film, which will once again revolve around a doctor with the ability to talk to animals, will feature the voices of  celebrities like Tom Holland, Rami Malek, Emma Thompson, Ralph Fiennes, Octavia Spencer, Selena Gomez, and John Cena, apart from Antonio Banderas and Michael Sheen who will be playing live-action roles.

Aside from this film, Robert Downey Jr also has the untitled Avengers: Infinity War sequel in the pipeline.
