Ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam's office in Abhiramapuram, Chennai, received a bomb threat earlier today demanding that the makers remove certain dialogues from last week's multi-starrer release, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam.

A source close to Madras Talkies said, "It was just a random prank call. The caller asked us to remove certain scenes referring to Pondicherry. We don't think it's of any particular significance."

The gangster drama, starring Arvind Swami, Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Dayana Erappa, opened to critical acclaim and the film has also been performing extremely well at the box office.
