Even before his debut production, Kanaa, hits the screens, Sivakarthikeyan’s second production, starring television presenter-turned-actor Rio, went on floors yesterday. The untitled project, directed by Karthik, will feature the entire team of the YouTube channel Black Sheep, along with Radha Ravi and Nanjil Sampath. The film will have cinematography by U Senthilkumar and editing by Meesaya Murukku-fame Oliver Fenny.

Meanwhile, Kanaa is slated for release this December. Directed by Sivakarthikeyan’s friend and lyricist-turned-director, Arunraja Kamaraja, it stars Aishwarya Rajesh and Sathyaraj in the lead. The film, which revolves around the life of a girl, who aspires to represent her country in cricket, also features an extended cameo from Sivakarthikeyan.
