It increasingly looks like Kristen Stewart will star in TriStar pictures' Happiest Season. The film tells the story of a young woman who goes to her girlfriend's family's annual holiday party to propose, only to realise that her partner has not yet come out to her conservative parents.

Written by Mary Holland and Clea Duvall, the romantic comedy is set to be the directorial debut of the latter. Incidentally, Stewart is currently working on a reboot of Charlie's Angels with TriStar's parent company, Sony; the film is directed by Elizabeth Banks, and co-stars Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska. The Twilight-actor is also awaiting the release of Against All Enemies, in which she plays yesteryear actor Jean Seberg, and Underwater.
