A clean-shaven Shahid Kapoor started shooting for the second schedule of Kabir Singh — the Hindi remake of hit Telugu film, Arjun Reddy — at Colaba in Mumbai on Monday. The actor was earlier spotted sporting a thick beard (similar to Vijay Deverakonda’s look in the original) during the first schedule of the film, which went on floors last month.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Venga, who also helmed the original, Kabir Singh will be shot across Mumbai, Delhi and Mussorie. The film co-stars Kiara Advani as the female lead.

“I watched Arjun Reddy and thought it was very well performed and directed. The film had a very fresh treatment. I was slightly hesitant to star in the remake since the original was so good and we didn’t want to spoil it. But it provided me with the opportunity to do something that was exciting and challenging. Thus, I felt greedy and picked the role,” Shahid had earlier told us.

The actor was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. Besides Arjun Reddy, he will also appear in an upcoming biopic on boxing gold-medalist Dingko Singh.
