Amid all the excitment surrounding his recent wedding to Deepika Padukone, actor Ranveer Singh returned to work today and began dubbing for his upcoming film, Simmba, at YRF Studios in Mumbai.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Simmba is an masala-entertainer film starring Ranveer in the role of a cop. The film marks the second Bollywood appearance of newcomer Sara Ali Khan, who is debuting opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath.

Besides Simmba, which releases on December 28, Ranveer has also wrapped up Zoya Akhtar's musical drama, Gully Boy, which arrives in theatres on February 14, and also stars Alia Bhatt.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were married on November 14 and 15 in Lake Como in Italy. The couple recently hosted a Bengaluru reception for their friends and family, and will be hosting three separate receptions —for their family, the media and film industry, respectively — in Mumbai on November 24, 28 and December 1.

Rohit Shetty's last directorial venture was the franchise comedy film, Golmaal Again. Simmba marks his first collaboration with Ranveer Singh.
